Job Summary
Execute daily greasing and lubrication of asphalt equipment, heavy mobile machinery, and on-highway assets. Monitor and replenish oil, fuel, coolant, and hydraulic fluid levels while performing routine filter changes and gearbox maintenance. Safely operate front-end loaders, skid steers, and fuel trucks to support plant operations and field crews. Conduct pre- and post-shift inspections, report safety hazards, and maintain accurate records of all maintenance tasks. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and participate in hazard recognition programs. Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the shop and plant areas.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience
- Class B CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsement
- 1+ years of Heavy Equipment/On-Highway Truck Maintenance experience and/or CDL driving in a related field
- Equipment analysis and general repair concepts
- Oil and lubricant maintenance concepts
- Troubleshooting
- Mechanical aptitude
- Technical aptitude
- OSHA compliance and regulations
- Detailed oriented
- Effective communicator (written and spoken)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, and reach
- Must be able to maintain three points of contact when climbing on/off machinery or on ladders
- Strong hand-eye-foot coordination
- Good depth perception with or without seeing aid for distances up to 150 feet
- Must supply own working set of mechanical tools
- Membership with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local Union No, 9
