Job Summary
As a Shop Foreman at United Rentals, lead a maintenance enterprise at a Fluid Solutions branch, using technical knowledge to perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot and repair pump equipment of varying sizes, and supervise the repair and assembly of equipment. Coordinate the activities of yard and shop personnel, diagnose issues, and ensure work is performed efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe work area. Create work schedules, track Service Technician productivity, generate service-related revenue, and schedule timely repairs for rental and customer equipment. When required, travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance. Accurately order needed parts from vendors and assist peers in developing diagnostic skills while performing service technician functions as needed. Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent; Trade school training preferred
- 5+ years of experience with repairing and maintaining vehicles and equipment
- Highly developed mechanical background knowledge particularly with various engines
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment
- Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Own the tools applicable to position
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and customer service skills
- Diligent attention to safety
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
