Job Summary
As a Shop Foreman for United Rentals, lead a maintenance-focused team to ensure safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment. You’ll coordinate Service Technicians, train and supervise mechanical personnel, and work closely with the Service/Branch Manager to maximize productivity and profitability. Responsibilities include diagnosing and supervising repairs, maintaining complete work-documentation, and occasionally traveling to customer job sites to service or repair equipment. The role offers advancement into a Service Manager position and requires strong mechanical aptitude, tool knowledge, and a commitment to safety and customer service. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; trade-School Degree a plus
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills for a variety of systems
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
