Job Summary
Plan and coordinate Fleet Technician workflow to maximize shop productivity, safety, and service levels by organizing schedules, delegating tasks, and enforcing safety procedures. Perform and oversee advanced equipment repair and diagnostics for mobile storage containers, offices, and trailers, utilizing schematics to diagnose HVAC, electrical, and structural issues. Complete complex repairs including floors, walls, and roofing while maintaining accurate work order documentation in Rental Flow. Order parts independently from vendors and travel to customer sites for maintenance when required, ensuring all documentation is recorded daily.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
- Active, applicable state-class driver's license
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Good leadership, teamwork, and customer service skills
- Advanced diagnostic and repair skills for a variety of systems
- Knowledge of mobile storage equipment; manufacturers' warranty process; and work order/time spent accounting
- Ability to compile and communicate information accurately
- Ability to coach and mentor Fleet Technicians on advanced technical skills
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturer-sponsored training a plus
- Trade school training preferred
- Advanced knowledge of the rental cycle
- Working knowledge of company computer systems
- Working knowledge of schematics and diagrams
- Good time management skills
- Knowledge of mobile storage equipment; manufacturers' warranty process; and work order/time spent accounting
