Shop Foreman/ Lead Service Technician

Job Summary
Lead on-the-floor training for apprentice technicians while performing complex diagnostics, advanced electrical troubleshooting, and major mechanical repairs. Inspect and road-test completed vehicles to verify repair accuracy before sign-off, and assist service advisors in explaining technical needs to customers. Document all diagnostic steps and parts usage on repair orders, and lead monthly toolbox meetings to discuss safety compliance and departmental goals. Stay updated on product changes, technical service bulletins, and warranty updates to disseminate knowledge to the team. Maintain high personal productivity by fixing vehicles right the first time while supporting daily shop floor operations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of advanced heavy truck/automotive repair experience
- Proven track record of fixing vehicles right the first time
- ASE Master Technician certification
- Equivalent OEM manufacturer training
- Valid driver's license (CDL)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a drug test
Desired Qualifications
- Cummins, Paccar, Eaton type training and knowledge
- Prior experience as a team lead or management
