Job Summary
Oversee daily shop operations and production schedules while supervising, training, and mentoring a team of manufacturing technicians. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and implement corrective actions. Manage inventory of parts, materials, and tools, and collaborate with engineering and management on project planning and execution. Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment. This role requires 5+ years of manufacturing shop experience, 2+ years in leadership, and OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in a manufacturing shop environment
- 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including welding, machining, and fabrication
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification
Desired Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent experience
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems, particularly in a manufacturing setting
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for reviewing designs and blueprints
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior technicians
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to communicate with a diverse workforce
