Job Summary
The Shop Parts Inventory Clerk maintains an organized, accurate inventory of shop parts and materials to support fleet maintenance and repairs. Responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, cycle counts, and audits; organizing the parts room; receiving, labeling, stocking, and distributing parts; researching and sourcing emergency or specialty parts; processing purchase orders and coordinating vendor quotes; acting as Accounts Payable liaison for invoices and purchase orders; preparing monthly PM kits and schedules; tracking maintenance activities, vehicle mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance costs; generating monthly operational reports; and providing clerical support to the Maintenance Department while ensuring safety and compliance. Required education is a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred forklift certification and experience in fleet/automotive environments. The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment in a shop and outdoor setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of inventory control, parts management, purchasing, warehouse, or maintenance support experience preferred
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record required
- Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification upon hire
