Job Summary
Ship and receive products, materials, and supplies while accurately updating the inventory database and maintaining logs of daily deliveries. Collaborate with technicians and office staff to execute pickups and deliveries of parts and equipment using a company vehicle. Perform basic repairs on tools, conduct physical inventories to verify records, and order materials to restock shop supplies. Keep the shop, facility grounds, and buildings clean, safe, and orderly in accordance with company policy.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to operate forklift, scissor lift, lift gate and drive a company vehicle
- Ability to perform effectively in a high-stress, fast paced environment
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work tasks
- Ability to use power and hand tools
- Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn computer programs
- Ability to travel between job sites and work locations 100% of the time
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must be able to maintain a stationary position for 2-4 hours while traveling between jobsites
- Continually required to walk inside and outside jobsites and other work locations
- Frequently operates a commercial vehicle, power tools, and a mobile device
- Frequently required to ascend/descend stairs and ladders to access all areas of equipment and jobsites including rooftops
- Frequently required to bend, stoop and access small, confined spaces
- Frequently communicates with internal and external customers using spoken word and the ability to perceive the natural sounds of normal speaking levels
- Must be able to exchange accurate information through oral and written communication and make fine discriminations in sound
- Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
- Able to observe details at close range, distance range, peripherally and with the ability to adjust focus
- Frequently utilizes visual acuity to operate vehicles, power tools & equipment and read technical information
- Frequently required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
