Job Summary
Deliver excellent customer service by operating tills, handling cash transactions, and assisting customers with queries and promotions. Maintain high store standards through stock replenishment, rotation, and waste reduction while adhering to health, safety, and HACCP procedures. Prepare food products according to company standards and support stock control activities to prevent loss. Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the Store Manager. Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Shop Assistant in a busy retail, forecourt, or convenience store environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good numerical abilities and cash-handling skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to use initiative and work independently when required
- Sound judgement with the ability to make decisions
- Self-motivated, reliable, and customer-focused
- Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional manner
