Job Summary
Shop Assistant Intern role assisting lead technicians with engine repairs and preventative maintenance in a marine/power systems shop. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe, organized work environment in shop and dock areas, supporting dry dock haul outs and related shop activities, preparing and cleaning parts removed during engine repairs, cleaning engine room bilges, and assisting with material handling, tool organization, and general shop duties. Requires a strong mechanical aptitude, ability to work independently and as part of a team, good verbal and written communication, and the physical ability to lift heavy objects. High School diploma or equivalent required; coursework or certification in engine repair, diesel technology, marine technology, or related field is a plus. This is a full-time internship with potential part-time accommodation for school schedules, based in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
