Shop and Facilities Technician

Job Summary
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shop and stockroom while conducting regular facility audits. Safely handle shipping and receiving duties using a powered industrial truck and perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility grounds. Coordinate with external vendors for building maintenance, housekeeping, and waste management. Support Field Service Technicians with parts deliveries, oil and coolant replenishment, and used oil disposal. Assist technicians on jobs, manage parts orders and inventory lookups for the Parts Department, and cross-train to provide backup support as needed. Support emergency response efforts within and outside company territories. Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years of related experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain DOT medical certification
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Forklift certification
- Ability to obtain forklift certification
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and environments
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with computers
- Microsoft Office experience
- Mechanical inclination
- Knowledge of diesel and gas engines
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail
