Job Summary
Shoes Designer Intern: Assist the footwear design team in creating new footwear designs from research through final product, support with research, picture database, collection boards, stitch toiles and mockups, prepare launch sheets with technical details, assist in fittings and meeting preparations, and collaborate with departments. Requires MA in Fashion Design (connected to school/program, student or graduate), 6-month duration starting in July, solid footwear design knowledge, English and French fluency, and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Required Qualifications
- MA degree in Fashion Design
- Available for a period of 6 months
- Solid knowledge in Footwear design
- Fluency in English language is an essential requirement
- Adobe suite skills are a must, with the ability to use Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to a high standard
- Very thorough knowledge of fashion history, archetypes
- Good sewing skills both on industrial and domestic machines
- Know-how of specific finishing techniques and finishing’s for each product category
- Strong interest and motivation to create high end collections
- A team player with very good communication skills
- Being flexible and at the same time structured and organized
- French Mandatory, English Fluent.
