Job Summary
Sort, price, and quality-select donated shoes under Team Leader direction. Transport sorted inventory to the sales floor, stock fixtures, rotate merchandise per guidelines, and maintain the processing area clean, neat, and safe. Clean and organize shoes into proper containers, placing non-sellable items in outlet bins. Assist in textile and miscellaneous power hour processes and perform other duties as assigned. Maintain a well-groomed appearance and adhere to the dress code.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to adhere to the organizations Core Principles
- Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling
- Ability to react calmly and react to emergency situations
- Ability to listen and following directions
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Knowledge of shoe brands and current trends
- Level 1: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Beginner knowledge of computer skills
- Level 2: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Level 2: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
