Job Summary
This position involves various roles in a shipping and yard environment, including Shipping Clerk, Bundler, Forklift Operator, Lead Yard Operator, and Yard Foreman. Responsibilities include interfacing with trucking personnel, ensuring accurate documentation, operating equipment, managing yard operations, and supervising staff. Candidates should be able to perform intense manual labor, stand for long periods, and lift heavy items. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is strongly preferred, along with at least six months of related experience. Skills in operating machinery, good mathematical aptitude, and effective communication skills are essential for this role. Ability to work in an industrial setting under varying conditions is required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in an industrial environment using related tools and equipment
- Six (6)+ months of training & close supervision in position
- For foreman: Six (6)+ months of experience in supervisory role
