Job Summary
The Shipping/Yard position involves multiple roles such as Shipping Clerk, Bundler, Forklift Operator, and Yard Foreman, focusing on the safe and efficient movement of materials. Responsibilities include scheduling deliveries, maintaining accurate documentation, operating forklifts, and supervising other staff as needed. Candidates must exhibit a strong understanding of operational processes, adhere to safety guidelines, and demonstrate physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving heavy objects. Effective communication and basic computer skills are essential. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in an industrial environment using related tools and equipment for six months or more
- For foreman position, six months of experience in a supervisory role
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Strong close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Ability to perform intense manual labor
- Ability to lift and carry up to 55 lbs occasionally, and 20 lbs regularly
- Demonstrates skill in operating equipment
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
