Job Summary
Monitor assigned process equipment and adjust valves or instruments to control liquid levels, flows, temperatures, and pressures. Operate specialized systems including gas metering stations, electronic scales, and handheld computers while collecting process data for daily records. Safely load trucks and rail cars with outgoing product and unload rail cars for plant upgrades or bulk storage. Maintain railcars in the fleet and demonstrate proficiency in switch engine operations and switchman duties. Coordinate shipping and loading processes with related jobs across the plant and port facility. Work 12-hour rotating shifts including weekends and holidays, with overtime required to maintain fair distribution.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduation/GED
- Must be physically capable
- Must be available
- Must be willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts
- Must understand overtime is required
- Must agree to work their fair share of overtime
- Must agree to work weekends
- Must agree to work holidays
- Must work in a safe manner
Desired Qualifications
- Academic degrees, certifications and/or licenses
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in chemical operations, oil/gas industry, railroad, construction or industrial setting
- Effective organizational, time management and communication skills
- Strong math skills, analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office IT environment including use of Word, Excel and Outlook
