Shipping Technician (Mon-Fri 11am - 730pm)

Job Summary
Monitor and track all shipments via FedEx, UPS, and other couriers to ensure timely delivery to participant residences, assisted living facilities, and PACE organizations. Act as a primary liaison between national couriers and the organization, addressing delivery exceptions, weather-related delays, and shipment errors while escalating unresolved issues. Prepare accurate invoices and credits, coordinate return requests, and participate in reclamation duties including package retrieval and restoration. Stay informed on transit times and weather patterns to proactively mitigate delays and inform supervisors. Ensure compliance with privacy regulations such as HIPAA and company quality initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in shipping
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally through written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to evaluate and analyze problems or tasks from multiple perspectives
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities without sacrificing quality
- Detail oriented and organized
- Proficient computer skills to navigate proprietary and other pharmacy software; shipping, delivery, and order management platforms (i.e. FedEx, UPS, TForce, TOMS, etc); as well as Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel and Sharepoint)
- Proficiencies include but are not limited to: Excel using quantitative analysis, charting, pivot tables, formulas/algorithms, and trend analysis
- Eligible to work in this country
- Must be available outside of normal business hours to meet customer expectations on an ad-hoc basis
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a Pharmacy or healthcare environment
- Ability to effectively address and resolve various delivery challenges such as weather-related issues and exceptions
- Ability to escalate any unresolved shipments or issues when necessary
- Ability to monitor weather patterns across the United States to proactively mitigate delivery delays
- Ability to act as a liaison between various national couriers and our organization
- Ability to follow procedures in client contracts and purchase orders to prepare accurate invoices and credits
- Ability to prepare shipping reports by coordinating information between carriers and dashboards
- Ability to stay informed about shipment transit times and group shipments for efficiency
- Ability to participate in reclamation duties including, but not limited to, the retrieval and restoration of shipping packages
- Ability to participate in company quality initiatives, identify opportunities for process improvements, and report potential quality assurance issues
- Ability to ensure compliance, efficiency, quality of operations, and information security in accordance with privacy, security, and company guidelines along with applicable regulations such as HIPAA
- Ability to handle all shipping requests and other related requests to ensure clients have a positive experience
- Ability to coordinate return requests from PACE clients
- Ability to collaborate with the inventory supervisor assisting in return packages and crediting orders by utilizing JIRA customer portal and Appfire
- Ability to stay updated on training and best practices relevant to the role
