Job Summary
Unload inbound trucks, inspect materials, and package shipments including banding, wrapping, and constructing wooden crates. Reel and spool cable, perform light manufacturing such as drilling and cutting conductors, and consolidate loads for outbound trucks. Operate forklifts and other machinery safely while maintaining the Project Service Center property. Communicate frequently with logistics and project coordinators regarding receiving, shipping, and damage issues. Attend safety meetings and assist with emergency product deliveries.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Read and understand measuring devices such as tape measure, rules, and combination squares
- Perform simple shop math (add/subtract fractions, decimals, and whole numbers)
- Experience applying simple hand tools such as wrenches, hammer, screw driver etc
- Basic computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a Warehouse or Manufacturing environment
- Substation experience
- Experience pinning steel
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Experience operating a Lift Truck and Man-lift
- Basic knowledge of how to assemble bus conductors both rigid and flexible
