Job Summary
Lead, train, and evaluate shipping team members while assigning daily tasks to meet productivity goals. Scan and sort outgoing orders, prepare orders by picking, packing boxes, and loading them onto trucks. Troubleshoot shipping and equipment issues, maintain equipment in good condition, and report malfunctions or defective parts. Ensure all safety procedures are followed, conduct safety audits, and keep the shipping area clean and organized. Work Monday through Thursday in 10-hour shifts, lifting up to 40 pounds frequently. Drive operational efficiency and uphold safety standards at Filterbuy, a leader in air quality and manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a team lead or a similar role in a shipping, warehouse, or logistics environment
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of shipping procedures, protocols, and regulations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Dedication to ensuring customer satisfaction and upholding team performance standards
- Ability to use tools and machines
- Basic computer skills
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Excellent time-management skills
- Willing and able to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures
- Prolonged periods working on feet (10-hr shifts)
- Consistently stretch/ reach with both hands and arms
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and box filters
- Ability to bend, squat, and lift frequently
- Lift up to 40 pounds, frequently
