Shipping Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee daily shipping operations by coordinating shipments, preparing orders, and verifying accuracy. Supervise team members including data entry assistants and forklift operators to ensure efficient and safe performance of duties. Ensure all processes comply with company policies, laws, and regulations while maintaining accurate records of tracking numbers, weights, and delivery times. Monitor inventory of shipping supplies and maintain a clean, safe work environment with proper equipment. Train staff on efficient and safe procedures and develop new processes to improve operational efficiency. Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and ensure orders ship on time and in full. Prepare reports on shipment volume and delivery metrics. Based in a manufacturing facility with occasional site visits and PPE requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 4-8 years of experience
- Proven experience in a shipping or logistics role, including supervisory experience
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work effectively with a team and manage diverse personnel
- Knowledge of shipping procedures and regulations
- Proficiency in record-keeping and report preparation
- Experience with shipping equipment and safety protocols
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols
