Job Summary
Shipping Supervisor responsible for supervising receiving and shipping processes, ensuring goods are verified against shipment records, inspecting received items, and maintaining records of damaged or defective items and discrepancies. Supervises staff in verifying and recording incoming/outgoing shipments, prepares items for shipment, reviews shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, and orders to determine priorities and methods, and oversees routing, load limits, and compliance with shipping specifications. Ensures accurate records of weights, charges, and unfilled orders, and directs movement of shipments from the shipping/receiving area. Requires a high school diploma or GED and typically 3 years of directly related experience.
Required Qualifications
