Job Summary
Conduct facility and personnel audits to maintain a safe work environment while enforcing safety guidelines and GMP, SQF, and QA protocols. Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and train employees on shipping department job descriptions, ensuring all staff perform duties as outlined in the Shipping Associate and Crew Leader Job Descriptions. Create shipping department schedules with overtime modifications to complete outbound and inbound shipments accurately and free from damage, monitoring code dates and utilizing OAD. Analyze situations to provide solutions in the company's best interest, maintain accurate records, and enforce self-inspection schedules. Discuss performance breaches with the Warehouse Manager and ensure employees abide by company policies. Maintain clean, sanitary conditions and required inventory of shipping supplies while working 40+ hours per week, including mandatory overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to legally work in the United States
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must be able to stand for 8-9 hours per day
- Must be able to work in temperatures of 34 degrees or less
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must be able to bend, stoop and squat as needed for miscellaneous duties
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds of force
- Must be able to work 40 or more hours per week
- Must be able to work mandatory overtime if necessary
- Must have good hand/eye coordination
- Must pass the Carl Buddig and Company Forklift Training and Evaluation Program on an annual basis
- Must be flexible and able to work as needed to provide supervisory coverage
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years related work experience is preferred in a Supervisory role
- ERP experience is strongly preferred
