Job Summary
Shipping Specialist within Dematic's Procurement team responsible for coordinating inbound, outbound, offshore and local shipments to meet project schedules. Responsibilities include shipment planning, documentation, tracking, liaising with project managers and forwarders, arranging freight bids, ensuring timely customs clearance, and providing ongoing shipping insights to support demand forecasting and supply continuity.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and customs clearance processes across multiple countries
- Proficiency in shipping documentation (Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin)
- Knowledge of Incoterms and their practical application in global shipments
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, SyteLine)
- Ability to handle complex or urgent shipments in a fast-paced, project environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience coordinating with project managers, procurement, and logistics partners
- Minimum 3–5 years of project-based shipping/logistics experience (international preferred)
