Job Summary
Package and ship all outgoing units daily to ensure they arrive undamaged at their proper destination. Unpack and distribute all incoming packages, delivering mail between buildings and the Post Office. Keep the shipping and garage area clean and safe, sorting packages between carriers. Load and unload delivery trucks while maintaining a professional image for United Radio. Work late as necessary to meet shipping deadlines. Hold a valid NYS driver's license and possess basic computer skills. This part-time role operates from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels and occasional exposure to fumes.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must have a valid NYS driver's license
- Must have basic computer skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate with other employees
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 150 pounds with assistance
- Must regularly work in outside weather conditions
