Job Summary
Shipping & Receiving Technician responsible for assisting in positioning inventory by safely loading and unloading trucks and railcars, operating heavy equipment to transfer material, coordinating inbound soybean receiving activities, inspecting materials and paperwork, taking product samples and recording data, maintaining logs and preventive maintenance records, and communicating with supervision to ensure safe, efficient plant operation. The role requires adherence to safety, quality, and HR policies, a customer-service attitude with internal/external stakeholders, and the ability to work in a night-shift schedule (2-2-3) at the Ithaca, MI facility. The position emphasizes hands-on grain handling, railroad operations, and production-support duties in a heavy industrial setting.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School or Equivalent
- Experience: 1 year in grain handling or railroad related field, preferred
