Job Summary
Coordinate, inspect, and monitor incoming and outgoing materials to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements. Perform receiving inspections on all incoming material, parts, units, and repair orders, followed by paperwork inspections prior to service release. Execute final inspections on shipped materials and parts, while choosing correct shipping procedures per customer, shipping agency, Export, and DOT requirements. Assist technicians in interpreting test requirements, organize priority parts for IHR, and coordinate parts movements with inventory, procurement, and production until the build rack is released. Maintain a clean, safe workspace, verify inventory on work racks, and communicate shortages for outstanding parts. Confers with managers to recommend changes for equipment utilization and production efficiency improvements. Works when scheduled, attends required safety training, and complies with all OSHA standards and PPE policies.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- One (1) year of previous receiving or shipping experience in a warehouse or retail environment
- Two (2) years of previous Microsoft (Word, Outlook, Excel) computer experience
- Ability to provide verification of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly and more, with assistance occasionally
- Must regularly be able to reach overhead
- Must be able to stand, walk, reach overhead, squat, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs as needed
- Must be able to walk around regularly using steps occasionally
- Must be able to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively using a computer keyboard
- Must have normal dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- Must have intermediate to advanced Microsoft computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) and the ability to learn and be proficient in company-specific software
- Must be able to effectively read, write and communicate in English
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Must be able to comply with OSHA requirements and standards including wearing required PPE
- Must be able to see clearly with or without corrective lenses
- Must be able to hear in normal range with or without aids
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision and to take initiative
- Must be able to maintain an effective working relationship with, and among co-workers and supervisors
- Must be able to use applied knowledge to formulate positive solutions to problem situations and continual process improvement
- Must be able to apply common sense
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated time, priority, and stress management skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Travels as required to support business needs
- Works when scheduled and complies with company attendance policy
- Works overtime as needed
- Attends all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner
