Shipping/Receiving Team Lead

Job Summary
Lead a material handling crew in loading, unloading, and routing materials internally and externally to customers. Oversee picking and truck loading, create documentation including BOLs, customer invoices, and department reports, and audit orders pulled by team members. Coordinate carrier pickups, develop partnerships with logistics companies, and maintain 6S standards while monitoring KPIs and supporting team training. Ensure orders ship to correct locations at economical prices and foster a safe, positive work environment. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, material handling equipment, and ability to work overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years previous shipping and receiving experience
- Forklift certification
- Able to speak, read and write in English
- Must be able to effectively type
- Experience using Microsoft Office/ERP Systems/3PL Logistics Portals
- Able to work at heights not above 30 feet without issues
- Able to reach, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs.), twist, squat, push and pull
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while in a fast-paced environment and maintain accuracy and organization
- Customer focused with a strong attention to detail
- Able to work overtime on short notice
- Previous experience in a lead role preferred
