Job Summary
Lead and support shipping and receiving employees, including pickers, forklift operators, and loaders, while coordinating daily receiving, staging, loading, and shipping activities. Assign dock doors, manage trailer and product flow, and ensure shipments contain correct products, quantities, and documentation. Monitor productivity, train and coach staff, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized dock area. Ensure employees follow warehouse, GMP, food-safety, and company procedures while communicating with drivers, production, and management. Complete shipping and receiving documentation and assist with inventory, lot, seal, and shipment accuracy. Lead from the floor, step in to support the team when needed, and work in refrigerated and freezer environments. Full-time Monday–Friday schedule with medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, lead, or supervisory experience
- Previous experience leading warehouse or dock employees
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving operations
- Familiarity with forklifts and pallet jacks
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to organize employees and prioritize daily workload
- Basic computer and recordkeeping skills
- Strong attention to safety and accuracy
- Dependable attendance and ability to consistently start at 5:00 AM
- Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments
- High school diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications
- Food manufacturing experience
- Cold-storage or freezer warehouse experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Forklift certification
- ERP or warehouse management system experience
- HACCP, SQF, USDA, or GMP experience
