Job Summary
Shipping & Receiving Specialist I at Custom Pipe and Fabrication, located in Lubbock, TX. Responsibilities include examining and verifying contents of incoming/outgoing shipments against bills of lading, packaging slips, invoices, and other shipping documents; receiving shipments and verifying contents against internal documents; preparing outgoing shipments (palletizing, shrink wrapping, banding, weighing); preparing shipping documents such as work orders and bills of lading; managing warehouse inventory and organizing storage; coordinating delivery by scheduling trucks via My Carrier; and performing additional duties as assigned by the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor/Manager. Requires a High School diploma or GED, ability to follow written or oral instructions, proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), strong organizational and teamwork abilities, and the ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Pre-employment drug testing and U.S. work authorization are required. Competitive base pay with benefits after 30 days; equal employment opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Adequate work experience may be substituted in lieu of diploma or GED
- Willingness to follow written or oral work instructions
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
