Job Summary
Conduct shipping and receiving clerical tasks, including completing picking tickets, preparing outbound orders, and loading/unloading raw materials and finished goods. Palletize and stage products per procedures while maintaining a clean work area and performing daily forklift maintenance. Identify raw materials and finished goods, understand material handling tasks, and report all observed safety hazards to the supervisor. Work the scheduled hours of 10:00am - 6:30pm M-F with overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months of experience in warehouse environment
- 6 months previous experience with operating a forklift
- sit down experience preferred
- Computer Skills with experience in Microsoft Office Programs
- Ability to work overtime on short notice
- Basic mathematical skills for counting inventory and understanding stock levels
- Skills in performing operations with units such as inches, feet, and yards
- Low to moderate lifting with the ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to read and write English sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position and satisfactorily meet business demands
- Ability to work the scheduled hours of 10:00am - 6:30pm M-F and overtime as needed
- Ability to hear fork truck horn
- Ability to work alone on a fork truck for extended periods of time
- Ability to work with others as required
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent level of education
- Fedex & UPS small parcel experience
