Shipping & Receiving Material Handler - 1st Shift

Job Summary
Receive incoming materials, verify shipments against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or discrepancies. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move raw materials, packaging, and finished goods while supplying production lines. Maintain organized warehouse storage, label materials accurately, and keep receiving areas clean and hazard-free. Communicate with Production, Quality, Logistics, and Customer Success teams regarding material availability and shipment status. Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns or safety issues to leadership. Maintain accurate records for inventory movement activities. This full-time, 1st shift position runs Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm at the Hudsonville, MI facility. Forklift certification is required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, material handling, or manufacturing environments
- Forklift certification or the ability to become forklift certified
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Basic understanding of inventory control and warehouse processes
- Ability to accurately complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
