Job Summary
Direct daily loading, unloading, and transfer of grain, oil, and ethanol products while overseeing supervisor operations for inbound corn and loadouts. Develop training programs for technicians, manage personnel schedules to ensure coverage, and update SOPs and documentation. Enforce safety standards, monitor product quality, and coordinate equipment maintenance. Lead a team of direct reports through hiring, performance appraisals, and conflict resolution. Maintain a clean production environment and adhere to all food safety and regulatory policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School or Equivalent
- 1 year in grain handling or railroad related field, preferred
- Experience supervising others in a significant segment of a large manufacturer or operation, preferred
- Possess heavy industrial machinery aptitude and understanding of the railroad and commercial truck industry
- Working knowledge of plant equipment and safety
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and senior level management
- Proficiently working with various software programs
- Ability to maintain good attendance habits

- Frequently required to walk, stand, sit
- Frequently required to climb to levels of 125 feet or more, confined, and harnessed. Use of stairs and ladders are required
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel to lift objects of 50 pounds or more
- Operate in an office and production environment
- Production environment could include frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme heat or cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration
- This position requires use of a respirator
