Job Summary
Shipping / Receiving Manager leads all inbound and outbound material flow at the Mansfield, Texas facility, owning dock operations from receiving to staging and shipping, manages carrier relationships and freight costs, ensures on-time performance, supervises staff, maintains ERP accuracy, and ensures compliance with DOT, hazmat, and OSHA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of shipping/receiving, logistics, or distribution management experience
- Strong knowledge of LTL/FTL freight, parcel, carrier management, and freight rate negotiation
- Experience with receiving inspection and shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, export/customs paperwork)
- Working knowledge of DOT, hazmat, and domestic/international shipping compliance
- Proficiency with ERP systems and shipping/logistics software; able to maintain records and pull reporting
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to hire, train, and manage a team
- Working knowledge of warehouse and dock safety standards (OSHA)
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain); comfortable operating material-handling equipment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree a plus
