Job Summary
Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing while maintaining accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts. Lead and train a team of associates, coordinate with production and logistics teams to optimize material flow, and operate material handling equipment safely. Implement safety protocols and enforce company policies within the department. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs. This role requires 3+ years of experience in manufacturing shipping, receiving, or warehousing, with demonstrated leadership skills and proficiency in ERP/MRP systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including training and directing team members
- Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems and inventory management software
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and quality control in a manufacturing setting
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift certification (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen)
- Basic understanding of HazMat regulations and handling procedures
- Proficiency in using barcode scanners and warehouse management software
