Job Summary
Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency while leading and training a team of associates. Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation, coordinating with production, sales, and logistics to meet shipping deadlines. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely, implementing safety protocols and quality control standards. Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms. This role requires 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, and current forklift certification. Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing within a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a small team
- Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems for inventory management and transaction processing
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving best practices, including safety regulations and quality control
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and inventory control
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen)
- Certification in forklift operation and safety
- Proficiency in using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior staff
- Experience with inventory management software beyond basic ERP functionality
