Job Summary
Unload and load trucks, uncrate items, and inspect materials against purchase orders while marking and storing goods with accurate identification numbers. Fill materials requests for work and sales orders, distribute stock via hand or forklift, and pick items to fulfill customer orders. Prepare and pack materials for domestic and international shipments per specifications, ensuring all quality documents reach QC. Maintain clean warehouse and dock areas, verify part accuracy and quantities, and perform assigned safety-sensitive duties. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 18 months prior warehouse experience in a similar industry
- Basic understanding of general inventory storage technology and procedures
- Good understanding of packaging standards and palletizing practices
- General computer knowledge
- Ability to operate hand tools, crane and other lifting and securing devices
- Maintain a good driving record
- Basic mathematical and measurement computations
- Well trained at forklift and pallet jack operation
- Ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Prolonged walking and climbing
- Bending, twisting, standing, balancing, carrying, sitting, crouching, squatting, and kneeling
- Ability to lift 45 pounds
- Repetitive motion of finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder, or neck movement
- Precise dexterity
- Reading
- Speak clearly
- Frequent lifting/carrying up to 20 pounds
- Occasional lifting from floor to waist/waist to shoulder
- Pushing/pulling forces up to/over 75 pounds
- Reaching/lifting shoulder level or below/over shoulder/shoulder to overhead/while holding objects weighing 15 pounds
- Occasional climbing of ladders/scaffolds/stairs
- Able to visually inspect
- Frequent use of forklifts, power tools and slicing/cutting equipment
- Non-climate-controlled environment
