Shipping/Receiving Driver

Job Summary
Drive an industrial forklift according to standard operating procedure to pull orders and load trailers with correct product for shipping. Supply finished material to the conversion area for special orders and count finished product to verify inventory levels. Comply with all safety measures before loading a truck, including chocking wheels, and follow Buckhorn policies and OSHA Standards to prevent on-the-job injuries. Read safety rules and operating instructions, perform basic math operations for measurements, and apply common sense to handle problems involving multiple variables. Maintain a clean and functioning product environment while ensuring customer expectations are exceeded through quality management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Forklift certification
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively with coworkers and supervision
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to do two mathematical operations to arrive at the solution
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 49 pounds

Desired Qualifications
- One to three years related experience and/or training
- Warehouse, forklift, and/or shipping experience
- Computer proficiency (Word and Excel)
