Job Summary
Verify incoming shipments, audit records in the warehouse management system, and inspect merchandise for damage or discrepancies against bills of lading and invoices. Weigh or measure items to confirm accuracy, then label, organize, and transfer inventory to designated locations or route goods to appropriate departments based on priority metrics. Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and material lift trucks to safely move, load, and unload materials between shipping, receiving, storage, and production areas. Communicate with purchasing, supply chain, quality, and vendor teams regarding issues, while assisting in cycle counts and cross-training in other material handling functions as needed. Maintain a safe, clean work environment following all safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of receiving experience
- Experience using ERP systems, inventory tracking software, and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Ability to safely operate a forklift
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer knowledge in Microsoft Teams, Word, and Excel
- Ability to identify trends, outliers, discrepancies, and quality concerns through strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of handheld measuring devices
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for extended periods
- Demonstrate manual dexterity when working with small components
- Frequently bend, stoop, and stand for long durations
- Lift, lower, and carry packages typically weighing 25–50 lbs.
- Handle packages up to 150 lbs. with assistance
- Load and unload carts with heavy items
- Push and maneuver carts with a total load of up to 200 lbs. consistently throughout the workday
- Schedule: 6:00 am – 4:30 pm, Tuesday through Friday
- Potential availability for overtime during peak times
- Potential availability for some Saturdays
- Must pass a drug/toxins test
- Must pass a background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
