Job Summary
Shipping/Receiving Coordinator responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments to support production and customer requirements; maintains inventory accuracy, collaborates with Production Scheduling, Logistics, QA, and Warehouse; prepares and maintains shipping/receiving documentation (bills of lading, packing lists, receiving records); monitors shipment schedules, coordinates with carriers and logistics teams, and communicates with customers; supports inventory control through daily audits, cycle counts, and ERP data entry; ensures compliance with USDA/food safety requirements and promotes a safe working environment; operates in a meat manufacturing environment with emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, warehouse operations, or inventory control
- Experience in a food manufacturing or meat processing environment preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/inventory management systems
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, including refrigerated areas
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with production, logistics, customers, and transportation providers
