Job Summary
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation. Process inventory transactions to maintain accurate records within company systems. Package, prepare, and coordinate shipments in accordance with carrier requirements. Move materials and components throughout the facility to support production schedules. Maintain organized warehouse locations and participate in cycle counts and physical inventories. Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, and shipping issues. Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as trained. Coordinate with Production, Planning, Procurement, and Quality teams to ensure material availability. Maintain compliance with FAA, AS9100, and workplace safety requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with audit preparation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, inventory control, logistics, material handling, manufacturing, or a related field
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn ERP, inventory management, and shipping systems
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing business needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively across departments
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment when resolving routine issues
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, shipping documentation, and inventory records
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or other production-focused environment
- Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, or similar inventory management platforms
- Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, and material flow best practices
- Experience with domestic and international shipping requirements, freight coordination, and shipping documentation
- Familiarity with FAA, AS9100, export compliance, traceability requirements, or other regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience conducting cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation activities
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process improvement activities
- Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, or provide guidance to other team members
