Job Summary
Check drivers in and out, assign dock doors, and review safety procedures as the primary contact for carriers and internal teams. Monitor and coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely receiving and loading. Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, including BOLs and order completion via WMS, ensuring all documentation and system transactions are completed correctly and on time. Deliver end-of-day wrap-up communications to Operations leadership regarding open order issues and escalate operational concerns to facility management as needed. Work Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:45pm at a rate of $20/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one (1) year of practical work in a warehouse, receiving, or dispatch environment
- Proficient in all Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED strongly preferred
- HazMat receiving and shipping experience preferred
- Working knowledge of WMS system preferred
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred
