Shipping & Receiving Coordinator 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Coordinate inbound material receipts by processing supplier Advance Shipping Notices, verifying shipment documentation, and reporting discrepancies to the Materials Planner. Prepare outbound shipping documentation including bills of lading and packing slips, then enter shipment data into company systems to maintain accurate inventory records. Support plant inventory activities by monitoring material levels and assisting with resolving logistics issues affecting production. Manage parcel shipments and miscellaneous reports while ensuring materials move efficiently through the Detroit Kettering facility on the 2nd shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment with frequent walking, standing, and interaction with shipping and receiving operations
- Ability to occasionally lift or move materials as needed to support logistics activities
- Must comply with all company safety policies and personal protective equipment requirements
- Minimal travel required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in shipping, receiving, materials coordination, or logistics in a manufacturing environment
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word and experience with inventory or ERP systems
- Experience working with shipping documentation such as bills of lading, packing slips, and ASNs
- Ability to maintain accurate records and manage detailed documentation
- Forklift (Hi-Lo) certification or ability to obtain certification
