Job Summary
Manage inbound and outbound dock operations by receiving, inspecting, and staging goods while processing purchase order receipts and updating inventory records in Blue Cherry. Coordinate carrier activity, prepare outbound shipments with accurate labeling via ShipStation, and maintain Bills of Lading and packing slips. Operate powered pallet jacks and dock equipment safely, utilizing forklifts if certified, to ensure freight moves accurately and on time. Communicate shipment status, delays, or discrepancies to supervisors in real time and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Full-time, Monday through Friday with overtime or weekend work as needed for seasonal demand.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–2 years of shipping, receiving, or dock operations experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced dock environment
- Ability to work across both shipping and receiving functions based on daily operational needs
- Solid organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Must wear required PPE (safety shoes, high-visibility vest, gloves, etc.) at all times
- Full-time, Monday – Friday schedule
- Overtime or weekend work availability as needed for carrier pickups, container arrivals, or seasonal demand
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift certification
- Experience with shipping platforms (ShipStation, FedEx, UPS)
- Knowledge of BOL documentation
- Experience using Blue Cherry WMS or other warehouse management systems
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to verify quantities, documentation, and product condition accurately
