Shipping & Receiving Clerk (Second Shift)

Job Summary
Oversee shipping & receiving activities in the Materials Department, including FIFO inventory control, labeling, and on-time delivery; unload/load trucks using a Hi-Lo forklift, verify quantities, and maintain accurate CMS/JATCO records; prepare and stage customer orders, print labels, and ensure correct parts are on the right trucks; perform daily inventory reporting, cycle counts, and packaging/inventory documentation; ensure safety procedures and ISO/EMS compliance (MIOSHA, ISO 14001), follow A3 and corrective actions, and collaborate with team to support continuous improvement; require forklift operation, bar code scanning, accuracy in shipment verification, and strong English communication.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ Hi-Lo forklift driver experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment
- Valid Hi-Lo permits
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to follow MIOSHA safety requirements
- MAFACT Basic Training; Basic Knowledge in JATCO
- Ford and GM specific requirements; safety procedure compliance
- Proficient knowledge of bar-coding systems; experience with CMS/AS400
- English reading/writing ability; effective communication
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environment; teamwork-oriented
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds; flexibility for overtime
- Experience with labeling process and shipment verification; inventory control and cycle counts
- PPE compliance; safety and environmental policy adherence
