Job Summary
Receive, inspect, and log incoming raw materials and components against purchase orders while maintaining accurate inventory records. Prepare and package finished goods for shipment with proper labeling, then load and unload trucks using forklifts or other material handling equipment. Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and shipment schedules, performing daily cycle counts and assisting with periodic physical inventory counts. Operate material handling equipment safely, conducting routine maintenance checks. This role requires a high school diploma, two years of manufacturing experience, and forklift certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in operating forklifts and pallet jacks with valid certification
- Demonstrated ability to use inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management
- Forklift certification (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck)
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations (e.g., customs documentation, Incoterms)
