Job Summary
Coordinate receipt and distribution of products in and out of the facility by completing records for received and shipped items, packing, labeling, and scheduling shipments. Monitor materials and supplies to coordinate movement to inventory and within the plant, while inspecting warehouse conditions, vehicle fleets, and equipment. Examine products to estimate quantities, weights, and container requirements, then respond to inquiries regarding storage and distribution services. Schedule and monitor air or ground pickup and delivery, including processing Amazon and small packages for daily orders. This role requires standing, walking, and frequent lifting up to 40 lbs in a climate-controlled manufacturing plant environment with exposure to heat, noise, and odors.
Required Qualifications
- Must always demonstrate patience to successfully work through frustrating challenges and present oneself in a calm professional manner
- Must have the ability to work with and around others
- Able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- 15 to 25 lbs. frequent lifting
- 20 to 40 lbs. occasional lifting
- Manual dexterity is required to perform normal day-to-day functions
- Able to focus and work at a continuous pace for long periods of time
- Must be able to constantly stand and walk
- It is necessary for this position to frequently climb stairs throughout the day
- Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, crouching, or reaching above the shoulders may be required
- Ability to utilize computer platforms to access shipping information
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred
- Prior shipping experience preferred
