Job Summary
Prepare shipping and receiving records, including bills of lading and tickets, for truck deliveries and open orders. Verify receiving receipts against orders, check and count unloaded items, and report any inventory discrepancies immediately. Calculate balances due for shipments, close out orders, and forward documents to production planning and accounting. Maintain records for goods returned and returnable pallets, while verifying product temperatures upon receipt. Requires forklift certification and experience in the produce industry.
Required Qualifications
- HS graduate or equivalent
- Three+ years' experience in shipping and inventory control preferably in the produce industry
- Previous working experience using a forklift and pallet jack
