Shipping Receiving Clerk

Job Summary
Shipping Receiving Clerk position responsible for inventory entry accuracy, processing of logistical paperwork (PO receipts, ASN), and administrative support. Primary duties include inputting receipts and validation of stock, processing shipping reports to ensure timely orders per customer guidelines, identifying finished products to be shipped, receiving work orders into inventory, and releasing customer orders. Create shipping documentation (including customs documents, Bills of Lading, shipping labels) and manage data entry in third-party transportation systems, scheduling pickups, and processing ASNs. Coordinate with customers and carriers (FTL, LTL, Drayage, Expedite, FedEx, UPS, Purolator) to ensure accurate and timely shipments, maintain inventory through cycle counts and audits, and document damages or discrepancies for corrective actions. Support health and safety policies, contribute to process improvements, and ensure proper shipment recording (quantity, carton, weights, carrier references). The role requires English fluency, strong communication, ability to multitask under tight deadlines, and forklift licensing. Educational and experience prerequisites include secondary school completion and shipping/receiving or logistics experience; post-secondary in logistics is an asset. Required Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school or equivalent
- Forklift license (external)
- Shipping/receiving or logistics experience required
- Post-secondary education in logistics or a related field is considered an asset
- Fluency in spoken and written English, with excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain safety
- Great communication skills and teamwork
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with concepts of an ERP system is an asset
