Job Summary
Package items, print labels, weigh shipments, and determine postage rates while managing UPS, FedEx, and truck functions. Assemble boxes and crates, affix shipping labels, and insert protective padding. Unpack incoming goods, inspect for damage, record shortages, and correspond with shippers to resolve issues. Maintain inventory of shipping supplies, operate tier-lift trucks, and route products to departments. Trace missing shipments and allocate storage space for inbound goods. Work $18.00–$22.00/hour with paid holidays and benefits after 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received
- Basic understanding of dock, and warehouse procedures
- Must be able to lift items weighing 50 lbs
- Must be capable and willing to share knowledge and train associates
- Must have good documentation practice
- Must be able to perform the physical responsibilities of the job utilizing arms, hands, and fingers to perform complex functions of manufacturing parts and performing other duties of the job; e.g., standing, sitting, walking throughout the facility and stairs, bending, squatting, and kneeling, etc
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with ERP/MRP
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office tools, inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports
- Permit for operation of forklift
