Job Summary
Pull orders for assembly technicians, place parts in correct locations, and load/unload materials using lift trucks within the plant, yard, or work site. Visually inspect, assemble, and package products to customer specifications while maintaining inventory accuracy through computer entry of counts, weights, and movement records. Operate hoists and material handling equipment, attach identifying tags, and deliver materials between storage and work areas. Work independently with little supervision, follow all safety rules, and maintain regular attendance while working overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must obtain certification to operate a fork truck
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to work OT as needed
- Must be willing to learn multiple shipping and receiving processes
- Must follow all company policies and procedures
- Must be very conscientious to maintain inventory accuracy and customer service measures
- Routinely lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Close vision and depth perception
- Routinely reach with hands and arms and use hands to fingers
- Frequently required to stand and walk
- Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Observe and follow all safety rules, plans, policies, and procedures
- Work efficiently and achieve established production standards
- Operate hoists and material handling equipment
- Attach identifying tags or labels to materials
- Operate lift trucks to load and unload material shipments
- Pickup and deliver materials to and from storage and work areas
- Via computer entry, maintain counts, weights, and material receipt and movement records
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance, occasional OT expected
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Ability to participate and contribute in a team environment
- Work with little or no supervision
- Good safety & attendance record
- Computer and keyboard proficiency to work within a Windows environment, SAP (bus), Excel and Word
- Capable of basic math skills plus knowledge of decimals
